Diversity and Inclusion Statement:

Woolamai Beach Surf Lifesaving Club (WBSLSC) welcomes members from all cultures, religions and abilities. We welcome all. We strive to embrace and celebrate diversity by creating a safe, inclusive and positive environment for all.  

Our Board supports this statement in its entirety and promotes respect, equality and equity within WBSLSC.

Member Protection Officer

Member Protection Officer’s (MPOS) are a volunteer position, aimed to support and protect members. Within the club, the MPO’s role is to provide support to members who wish to raise a grievance or concern, or have had one lodged against them. MPO’s can be the initial contact for members, and provide education around safeguarding children. Concerns raised with an MPO will be triaged according to the wishes of the individual.

MPO’s are qualified having completed Play by the Rules MPO training, Safeguarding Children Training, and having a current Working with Children Check.
