Stafford Smith awarded Order of Australia Medal
20-year member Stafford Smith has been recognised for his for his service to lifesaving and education with the Order of Australia Medal, Queens Birthday, June 2019.
Stafford’s work running countless camps and events, specifically integrating Upwey High School, has resulted in hundreds of new members for the Club, as well as hundreds of students learning the importance of beach safety.
Stafford has also shaped the club through his role on the Board, currently as Vice President, where he works to make effective and positive change within the club. Stafford is constantly looking for ways to make the Club a more fun and inclusive place, whether that be through social events or competitions such as Club Champs.

35+ year member, and Life Member, Dennis was awarded the Order of Australia Medal in Australia Day Honours 2019. He has also named Bass Coast Shire Council Citizen Of The Year in 2013. Dennis has contributed fundraising, helped with San Remo Channel challenge and been club Vice President.
